Drawn out gaps of time between things is usually a no no, a big one at that. Bands return sounding like tribute acts, and movies return with all that classic atmosphere sucked into a vacuum and dumped into a producer’s waste basket. Blade Runner was a thing 35 years ago, and this is a continuation perhaps no sane cinephile wanted. But sometimes, yes, we just don’t know what it is we want. Sanity is an overrated part of humanity, really.
